About the role Join our team and lead a group of 7 to 10 contributors in building a brand new team.
You will play a vital role in improving customer data quality and AI model effectiveness.
Collaborate with product managers, AI collaborators, and engineering teams to develop features and frameworks that enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

ead a team of 7-10 ICs (Software Engineers, TPM and BigData Engineers), offering mentorship and support to ensure successful project delivery.

ethink the approach on data quality and support across Data Engineering and MLOps and come up with long term strategy and solutions.
aintain high standards of Software Engineering Excellence by collaborating closely with peers and team members.
oster strong cross-functional relationships across the organization to promote collaboration and ensure alignment on project goals.
This role has been categorized as a teleworker position.
Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company.
Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

Who you are At least 3 years of management experience, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing engineering teams.
t least 5 years of Data Engineering and Software Development experience.
trong knowledge in areas of Operational Excellence in Data Engineering space.
trong knowledge in areas of Data Engineering eg Spark, Airflow, Python, and SQL.
ood understanding of MLOps space.
ice to have working experience in Databricks, Flink, Kafka, NoSQL stores.

Qualifications At least 5 years of experience with a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
t least 3 years of management experience leading a team of more than 5 ICs.
t least 5 years of experience leading operations and quality efforts in the Data Engineering space.
t least 3 years of experience developing ETL pipelines using Spark, Python, Scala, Airflow, etc on AWS.
t least 1-2 years of experience in MLOps.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Streaming technologies like Flink and Kafka.
nowledge of Databricks platform.
nowledge of NoSQL DBs eg Dynamo.
