About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Tech Manager to lead our service department with solid experience in the food packaging industry.
The Service Tech Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the technical service operations, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and product performance.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge (machinery & materials), excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Key role areas & responsibilities Technical Service Management.
Lead the technical service team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure efficient and effective service operations.
Oversee all the clients’ installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging equipment, including troubleshooting technical issues.
Develop and implement service schedules, preventive maintenance programs, and quality control procedures to optimize service efficiency.
Customer Relationship Management & Success.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their specific needs and requirements.
Grow the business by providing outstanding customer service and be the liaison with the Sales team to follow-up on new leads.
Address customer inquiries, resolve service-related issues, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Provide technical support and solutions to clients, offering expert advice on equipment usage and maintenance.
Team Development.
Recruit, train, and mentor service technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide top-quality service.
Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
Inventory and Resource Management.
Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment to support efficient service operations.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of necessary resources.
Technical Expertise.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in packaging technology and equipment.
Provide technical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, assisting in product development and improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in technical service management within the food packaging industry.
(Knowledge of the highest sanitary standards) Strong technical knowledge of packaging equipment and machinery.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in English.
Open to travel frequently.
