Requirements
NCLEXRN certified nurses with 35 years of recent Telephone Triage
experience Call Center Experience
Licensure in at least one US state is required. Nurses registered in the
state of Illinois are highly preferred
Preferred candidate with minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a
physician office, one or more specialties, home health, critical care andor
emergency room
Demonstrates empathy and compassion while interacting with patients,
understanding their concerns, and providing support.
Clinical Assessment Skilled in handling different types of calls from
patientscare givers, assessing patient symptoms and determining whether
medical attention is necessary. Ability to provide guidance on selfcare
when appropriate.
Experience working with Electronic MedicalHealth Records and
documenting electronically.
Experience with various computer software, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet
Typing skills to prepare forms and correspondence with speed and
accuracy.
Skilled in speaking English clearly and distinctly, with appropriate
grammar. IELTS TOEFL certification would be a value add
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team while functioning
independently, maintaining confidentiality in all assignments, and showing
initiative in identifying and solving problems as they occur.
Role and Responsibility
As a Telephone Triage Nurse accept telephone calls from patients with
varying levels of acuity and types of medical concerns including but not
limited to
Performs to the level of a licensed registered nurse as dictated by the
Illinois Nurse Practice Act
