We are currently searching for a Senior DBA with RAC Experience.
Responsibilities.
Manage and maintain Oracle RAC databases to ensure high availability and performance.
Perform database tuning and optimization to improve query performance and overall efficiency.
Develop and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Collaborate with application teams to optimize database schema designs and queries.
Monitor database health and address performance issues proactively.
Ensure compliance with data security and governance policies.
Automate routine database administration tasks for operational efficiency.
Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future database growth.
Document database configurations, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
Provide 24/7 support for critical database environments to ensure uptime and reliability.
Assessment Phase Responsibilities.
Conduct a thorough analysis of existing Oracle RAC database configurations.
Assess current database performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential risks in database environments.
Perform a gap analysis to determine areas for improvement in database operations.
Evaluate disaster recovery solutions and validate compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for database optimization or migration.
Document current database workflows, dependencies, and interconnections.
Conduct feasibility studies for upgrading to the latest Oracle versions or RAC enhancements.
Develop a high-level roadmap for database improvements and upgrades.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders for approval.
Implementation Phase Responsibilities.
Configure and deploy Oracle RAC clusters for high availability and scalability.
Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patch management.
Implement automation tools for database provisioning and maintenance tasks.
Optimize database performance using tuning tools and best practices.
Monitor and validate disaster recovery setups to ensure readiness during failures.
Collaborate with application teams to resolve database-related issues during implementation.
Document deployment processes, configurations, and operational procedures.
Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to support teams.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of database changes.
Requirements.
4- 8 YoE Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with expertise in Oracle RAC environments.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions using RMAN or similar tools.
Proficiency in database security, including encryption and access controls.
Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.
., OEM, SolarWinds).
Languages Advanced Oral English.
Native Spanish.
