We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Workers Compensation Case Manager to join our team and support our mission.


The Workers Compensation Case Manager will support the assigned Workers Compensation AttorneyHearing Representative, manage an assigned caseload, and collaborate with other members of the Workers Compensation department and other departments within WC Law Firm. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, excellent attention to detail, and solid communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage approximately 25100 cases from intake to settlement alongside the handling attorney.
Process new intake files by making initial contact with clients, verifying intake packets, opening files in the Firms case management software, sending representationopening letters, setting up initial medical appointments, and obtaining subpoena records.
Handle a high volume of telephone callsemails from clients, insurance companies, defense counsel, doctors, and medical facilities.
Schedule medical appointments, request treating physician changes, and set AMEsPQME evaluation appointments.
Follow up with doctors for reports or status updates and review correspondence for each case.
Keep files up to date with medical evidence by obtaining and reviewing medical reports.
Ensure clients are receiving all Workers Compensation benefits they are entitled to.
Request doctor panels for case development and prepare files for hearings, trials, MSCPCSCCX, and depositions by writing case summaries, creating medical indexes, and preparing trial exhibits.
Complete IMR applications and send medical reports to IMR, and object to medical reports as requested by the attorney.
Maintain electronic files by eliminating unnecessary documents.
Enter detailed notes relating to each case in the Firms case management software.
Alert the Team Lead when defense counseladjusters have not responded to requests for medical treatment or benefits andor when good faith efforts have been exhausted.
Maintain open communication with clients to improve overall client retention.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management andor Team Leaders.

CompetenciesSkills
Indepth knowledge of Workers Compensation laws and procedures.
Strong understanding of the claims filing process.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and clerical skills.
Familiarity with medical issues inherent in Workers Compensation cases.
Proficiency in MS Office, case management software, and online research tools.

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Workers Compensation law firm.
Demonstrates initiative and compassion for clients requiring our services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
