The VP of Engineering will report to The Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities Team Management.
Lead and mentor a diverse set of engineering teams (front-end, back-end, data science and data analysis positions, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
Recruitment & Hiring.
Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the acquisition of top talent to build a high-performing engineering team.
Budget Management.
Prepare, present, and implement the engineering budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
Research & Best Practices.
Conduct and apply research on industry trends and best practices to improve engineering processes and product development.
Communication.
Serve as a liaison between engineering teams and executive leadership, providing updates on project status, challenges, and opportunities.
Technical Oversight.
Ensure familiarity with the tools and software used by engineering teams, maintaining a deep understanding of relevant technical fields.

The Profile Qualifications.
Education.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is typically required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
This position must have years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position at a technology-focused SaaS company.
Experience in the health-tech sector preferred.
Technical Experience.
Extensive experience in software development, quality assurance, and familiarity with relevant engineering tools and methodologies.
Strategic thinker with the ability to align data and AI initiatives with broader business objectives.
Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies that align with business objectives and drive technological advancements.
Team Management.
Proven ability to manage and inspire teams to meet deadlines and achieve project goals.
Deep experience as an engineering leader of a high-growth SaaS startup.
Demonstrated success in scaling engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
