TECHNICAL APPLICATION SPECIALIST

Focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining EDI solutions, this role leverages technical expertise to enhance integration processes, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support seamless communication between trading partners and internal systems.
What you will be doing.
Design, implement, and maintain EDI maps, transactions, and interfaces.
Configure and test EDI integrations with trading partners and internal systems.
Monitor EDI processes, troubleshoot errors, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Act as the main point of contact for EDI-related technical issues and support requests.
Collaborate with external trading partners to establish EDI connections and coordinate testing.
Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and design solutions.
Liaise with IT teams to ensure compatibility with internal applications and systems.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including process flows and troubleshooting guides.
What you will likely bring.
Strong knowledge of EDI standards (e.
., ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML) and experience with EDI mapping tools and platforms (e.
., Gentran, Sterling Integrator).
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.
., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and data transformation tools (e.
., Informatica, MuleSoft).
Excellent troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve EDI and integration issues.
Effective communication skills to interact with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage EDI implementations and integrations independently.

Previous experience in supply chain, logistics, or retail business processes.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and EDI standards changes.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to deliver results.
Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience creating technical documentation to support processes and troubleshooting efforts.
