To be successful, internal stakeholder management is key and a proactive, convincing hands-on strategic mindset is required.
As a Strategic Category Manager, you are responsible for the development and implementation of strategic initiatives within an assigned portfolio of indirect sourcing categories (mainly IT software).
Specific responsibilities include development of category strategies, optimizing spend opportunities, facilitating and leading sourcing projects (renewals and new demand), supplier negotiation, tactical purchasing, and establishing & maintenance of supplier relationships.
You drive the preparation and the execution together with our global IT & business project teams.

What you need is.
A university (Master) degree in procurement, supply chain, IT, business or finance with results in upper-quartile 5+ years’ experience in IT software procurement/category management (mandatory) Strategic mind-set with result orientation Strong facilitation & negotiation skills (awarding design) Fluent in English; other languages appreciated Evidence of acting as a strategic business partner through influencing and interacting with key stakeholders across a matrix organization.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to structure clear presentations and to simplify a financial message to non-finance stakeholders A strong business acumen and visionary mindset balanced by hands-on behavior A proactive approach and acting as change agent Why should you apply?
