Job Description Summary Role Summary/Purpose The GA LATAM – M&D Sales Manager – Latin America is an experienced professional in the Electric Utilities Asset Management area including Power Transformers Monitoring and Diagnostics.
This person is responsible to sell GE VERNOVA Grid Automation Monitoring & Diagnostics portfolio, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the capability to deliver short-term and some long-term business results.
Your profile is of a Self-starter, positive attitude, committed to the success of the business.
Job Description Essential Responsibilities Quarterly sales results of M&D for Latin America, with such responsibilities.
Indirectly manage a network of sales engineers based in various countries of Latin America.
This sales force reports to the Country Sales Leader and you will be responsible to coordinate the strategy/priorities/actions with the Sales Engineers and the Country Sales Leaders to meet the sales targets.
Meet quarterly Orders targets through the development of opportunities in end-users (utility companies), transformer manufacturers and other indirect channels from early specification all the way through contract/PO registration.
Either directly you in Mexico and CAAC or through the Sales Engineers based in the other LAM countries.
Prospect and articulate opportunities in the assigned geographic area.
Keep a detailed and updated project pipeline for LAM.
Accountability for providing, committing, and delivering orders forecasts for LAM.
You will be the main link between the LAM region and the M&D Global Management.
Your role will be to discuss M&D portfolio strategy for LAM, competitors, market trends, new products needed, support needed, resolution of problems that require the Global team involvement.
Responsible for the development of new leads in the Region and segments like Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Mining and Oil and Gas.
Directly with End-Users or partnering with EPCs, OEMs or Channels Partners.
Manage a network of business partners, distributors, and resellers in his assigned region.
Participate, provide leadership and be accountable for the technical and commercial offers prepared by the Tendering team and negotiate the cost with the manufacturing units.
Coordinate actions with Country Sales Leaders and Sales Engineers for products strategy, promotion, workshops, and pricing.
Technical presentations, development of the sales strategy in your geographic area and develop a strong customer relationship.
Coordination with other GE units to increase pipeline.
Provide an essential link from the customer to commercial operations, engineering, and product development teams.
Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE.
Manage expenses within budget.
Develop technical expertise in GE’s Transformer Monitoring offerings.
Ability to make effective Customer presentations.
Quality and consistency of the data introduced in company’s Sales Force CRM.
Support of management on company’s governance rhythm Role Summary/Purpose Lead the Sales of a portfolio of products across different countries/customers in Latin America and through the regional teams.
Also Customer facing staff responsible for winning business.
Qualifications/Requirements Degree in electronic or electrical engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or related degree Minimum of 8 years of commercial experience in the M&D (Monitoring and Diagnostics) or Electrical Utilities Asset Management segment Ability and willingness to travel more than 30% of the time.
Fluent in English Native in Spanish.
Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills.
Deep product and domain expertise of G, T&D power delivery products including power transformers.
Advanced Knowledge of Transformers and Monitoring and Diagnostics Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Advanced ability to obtain data, treat, analyze, extract information and plan actions based on data from Excel, SalesForce, Tableau and other similar software.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs.
Interest in progressing in the career and lead small teams.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
