We are seeking a full-stack Software Engineer with experience in web or mobile platforms who has the desire to innovate, design, and implement changes that will enable the best music experience for millions of customers around the world.
Do you have strong problem solving skills, an ownership mentality, and a proven track record of delivering results? Do you have experience in system design, data analysis, and operational root causing? Do you know how to manage projects with external developers and stakeholders following the software development life cycle? Do you enjoy ambiguity and experimenting with new ideas through customer obsession rather than following competitors? Do you like working closely with business/product and tech to build new experiences? Are your writing and communications skills excellent; knowing how to present content to senior leadership and external audiences? You'll also be coaching other engineers, developing engineering and operational processes, and encouraging excellence within the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - 2+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience independently delivering features spanning both front end and back end systems.
- Experience defining API schemas for services.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Experience working on a team focused on experimentation and/or growth, where success was measured through iterative testing, data-driven decisions, and achieving specific metrics for impact - Hands-on experience with multiple coding languages and a variety of architectures/stacks.
