About the role As an Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at GM Financial, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify testing requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
This role will contribute to our continuous integration and delivery processes, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.
What you need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Verbal and written proficiency in English and Portuguese or Spanish.
10+ years of experience in software testing and test automation.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.
., Java, Python, C#).
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.
., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
Strong understanding of software development methodologies and Agile practices.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.
., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.
., Git).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications.
Experience with performance testing tools (e.
., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.
., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with API testing tools (e.
., Postman, RestAssured).
Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.
., Docker, Kubernetes).
What you will be doing Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using [tools/frameworks, e.
., Cucumber, Karate, Selenium].
Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and design test plans and test cases.
Identify, document, and track software defects using [bug tracking tool, e.
., JIRA, Azure DevOps].
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into the build process.
Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall quality of the codebase.
Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
