ensures security, performance and scalability using best practices and optimized algorithms.
this position takes an active part in the design and development of the new, and support of the existing, web applications in linux/apache environment.
experienced in new and emerging web development tools, programming and scripting languages such as ruby and javascript.
strong knowledge of relational database design and optimization techniques for mysql and postgresql.
develop quality software and web applications, determines feasibility of projects by analyzing and verifying data, api and/or resource requirements.
design user friendly views (ux).
support and troubleshooting for application issues.
ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
analyze process and translate user requirements to software project.
testing application.
database and server backups.
version control (git).
perform troubleshooting & root cause analysis.
perform training in computer & services use.
create, document & deploy process' for various it operations that may or may not interact with other areas or departments.
constantly research and propose new technologies or services that could be implemented to improve the operation.
