this includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
the role involves managing a significant pool of vendors for tijuana and stokesdale plant, focusing on logistics services, including transportation (inbound and outbound), warehousing, 3pl, brokerage and distribution, and the main other service contracts.
the senior service buyer will work closely with various departments, mostly supply chain, hr, maintenance, sales, finance, engineer, to ensure that logistics needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
develop and implement procurement strategies for the main services to ensure cost savings and efficiency.
build business cases for logistic services (transportation, broker, distribution) to help ontex team to take the best decisions for the business.
negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
monitor supplier performance and address any issues that arise.
collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure they are met.
manage the procurement process, follow the doa, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
