SENIOR SCRUM MASTER

Project description We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Scrum Master with exceptional communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to inspire and lead Agile teams to success.
The ideal candidate will be outspoken and assertive, taking the initiative to drive the team to achieve sprint goals, while ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and Agile methodologies.
With deep experience in managing sprints, backlogs, and generating insightful reporting using JIRA, this role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Responsibilities - Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective) with a focus on keeping teams engaged, motivated, and focused on deliverables.
- Proactively manage sprint goals.
Take ownership of sprint success by removing impediments, ensuring the team stays on track, and collaborating closely with Product Owners and stakeholders.
- Backlog management.
Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a well-prioritized backlog, ensuring that the team is always working on the most valuable items.
- JIRA management.
Lead JIRA administration tasks, including sprint creation, backlog grooming, reporting (burn-down charts, velocity reports), and other metrics to track team progress.
- Mentor and coach team members.
Support the development of team members' Agile skills, ensuring best practices are understood and followed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Encourage the team to retrospect and improve, identifying areas for process enhancements, and implementing effective solutions.
- Stakeholder communication.
Effectively communicate sprint progress, potential risks, and areas for improvement to leadership and other stakeholders in a clear, concise, and proactive manner.
- Drive team accountability.
Ensure that team members are held accountable for their commitments, and that they consistently deliver high-quality work within sprint timelines.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Proactively address issues within the team or across departments to ensure smooth and efficient sprint execution.
SKILLS Must have 8-10 years of experience as Scrum Master and/or Agile PMnPrevious technical experience/Background preferred as Dev, QA, etcnJIRA Proficiency to manage sprints, backlog, reportingnSupervisory experiencenStake holder Management experience; presenting executive status if required.
