SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER

Job Summary.
PGSTECH is seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager with a solid background in electronic assembly and contract manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of leadership experience in production management, driving efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities.
Production Leadership.
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet customer requirements and delivery timelines.
Implement and maintain manufacturing schedules while ensuring optimal use of resources, materials, and labor.
Team Management.
Lead and mentor a diverse team of supervisors, technicians, and assembly staff.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and support employee development.
Quality Assurance.
Ensure production meets or exceeds quality standards by collaborating with the Quality Assurance team.
Address and resolve production issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Process Optimization.
Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Safety and Compliance.
Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular safety training and audits.
Customer Satisfaction.
Coordinate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to meet client expectations regarding product delivery and quality.
Serve as a point of escalation for customer concerns related to production.
Strategic Planning.
Collaborate with senior management on long-term production planning and capacity analysis.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in production processes.
Qualifications.
Education.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience.
Minimum 10 years of management experience in electronic assembly contract manufacturing.
Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and quality assurance practices.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications.
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
Certified in Six Sigma, PMP, or similar methodologies.
Experience working with ISO and/or IPC standards.
Work Environment.
This role operates in a manufacturing environment, requiring regular presence on the production floor.
Occasional travel to suppliers or customers may be necessary.
