Align with Volvo Car global strategy we are building a new car production plant in Kosice.
We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team and develop the accounting department on our journey to setup a new organization from scratch.
What you’ll do You will be working to support Volvo Cars Slovakia industrial operations in Slovakia with daily accounting, tax compliance and reporting services together with a team of colleagues.
The work includes preparing, evaluating, and reporting monthly financial figures for the new Volvo Car Slovakia entity to Volvo Car Group.
You will also be involved in analysis, projects, and process improvements for financial processes with focus on accounting.
We are looking for an experienced professional, solid year of experience in similar position, to secure adherence to Slovak GAAP and IFRS.
As an early joiner of the Finance team, this person will be involved in all the initial systems setup, enabling to influence it and to grow into the organisation as the agenda gets more complex in the future.

Location You will be based at Volvo Cars’ Kosice plant in Slovakia.
What you will bring •    You have a degree in Business Administration or similar with several years of relevant experience.
•    You need to have a solid understanding of finance and accounting processes.
•    To be successful in this position you have a solid IFRS accounting knowledge and Slovakia GAAP, understanding of the details as well as the big picture.
You need to be proactive and be able communicate in a clear and direct way, building trust and relations with our stakeholders.
•    Industrial accounting background and interest working with data analysis, automation and digitalization is a great advantage.
•    It is essential that you are fluent both, in English and Slovak, verbal and written.

The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job.
Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
In addition to the monthly salary, there is also a 13th salary paid in an aliquot amount and a performance bonus depending on the company's financial results and individual performance.
