SECURITY MANAGER

As a Security Manager, you will be leading a team of dedicated professionals and collaborating with site leadership to implement effective physical security controls at locations across Mexico.
Key Responsibilities • Leadership and Team Management.
o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of physical security professionals based in Mexico.
o Foster a collaborative and proactive team environment that focuses on achieving security objectives while ensuring employee growth and development.
• Consultation and Collaboration.
o Collaborate closely with site leadership to understand and address specific physical security needs and concerns at various company locations in Mexico.
o Provide expert advice and recommendations on security measures, including access control, surveillance, and crisis response protocols.
• Travel Risk Management.
o Assist in managing a comprehensive travel risk program to ensure the safety of employees and executives traveling internationally.
o Monitor global events and trends that could impact travel security and provide real-time guidance to travelers as needed.
• Training and Education.
o Design and deliver training programs on security protocols and best practices to enhance the security awareness of employees, contractors, and supply chain partners.
o Collaborate with internal teams to develop relevant training materials and resources.
• Security Program Enhancement.
o Continuously assess and enhance the company's physical security policies, procedures, and controls to address evolving threats and risks.
o Implement innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security measures.
• Site Security Audit Procedures.
o Develop and implement comprehensive site security audit procedures to assess the effectiveness of physical security measures at company locations.
Conduct regular security audits, assess vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements to enhance site security.
• Incident Response and Crisis Management.
o Develop and maintain incident response plans for various security scenarios, ensuring a timely and effective response to security incidents.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams during crisis situations to manage and mitigate security-related incidents.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Required Education / Experience / Skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.
., Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration), or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in managing physical security programs, preferably in a multinational corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies, access control systems, and surveillance systems.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a team of security professionals is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in conducting security risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to analyze security trends and make informed recommendations based on industry best practices.
• Experience with supply chain security programs such as CTPAT and Mexico OEA.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate in both languages.
• Thorough understanding of US-Mexico land border crossing procedures for travel risk management support.
