Hybrid working model This position requires you to work a minimum of two to three days per week in the Gate 1 Travel office location in Mexico City with the balance of days from home, in accordance with the companys needs.
Description
Gate 1 Travel offers escorted tours, European river cruises, independent vacations and customized international vacation packages for less.
As a Reservations Service Agent, youll handle inquiries such as making modifications answering questions about trip components, including air, hotels, car rentals and optional tours assistance with website navigation and making sure that all aspects of reservations are completed accurately so that customers enjoy a smooth, perfectly organized vacation. This position also handles overflow calls from the Sales department during periods of high volume by welcoming callers, answering questions about destinations, and creating new reservations.
Requirements
Advanced English Fluency. Strong verbal command of English with ability to communicate clearly and articulately. B2C1 or native. 100 of the customers are assisted in English only. Training will be delivered in English only.
Minimum 1year experience as Reservations Call Center Representative in English serving USbased customers.
Tourismtravel reservations experience is required, and GDS knowledge is highly preferred.
Fulltime availability. Currently, our schedules are within the hours of Monday to Friday from 900 am to 930 pm ET, Saturday and Sunday from 900 am to 600 pm ET.
Full attendance during training and the subsequent 2 weeks of transition to handling of live calls is mandatory. Testing is conducted at the end of training and requires a minimum passing score to continue employment in the position.

Enthusiastic phone presence.
Outstanding customer service skills including professionalism, respect, empathy, friendly disposition, positive attitude and patience.
Excellent computer, technology, and Internet skills with ability to navigate multiple screens and perform basic computer troubleshooting.
Good written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Cognitive ability to learn and process new information and choose appropriate action.
Familiarity with a GDS Amadeus preferred, not required.
General knowledge of world geography .
