QUALITY MANAGER

Resumen de trabajo This position is responsible for all the Quality and Food Safety programs and their implementation across supply chain in México and Colombia.
It's responsible for the innovation programs, projects and initiatives in terms of Quality and Food Safety.
Also gives support to operations with the requirements to ensure the continuity of the process in time and quality.
The manager should give support to internal and external audits from customer, regulatory or certification, and ensure the follow up to non conformances.
The Quality Manager is responsible for Quality Control and Quality Assurance departments, and all Safety and Environmental Programs applicable to Quality Laboratories and all personnel.
The Quality Manager is responsible for the supervision of the analytical and sensory laboratories as well as overseeing the facility's food safety program on an ongoing basis.
Activities include, but are not limited to, prioritizing daily assignments, training QC associates, and completing quality control work as needed.
The manager is responsible for the successful performance of the team with regards to business metrics as it relates to the usage decisions of the raw and finished materials.
You will have a degree in Science or Engineering and 5+ years' experience in quality and manufacturing, quality auditing, quality control, quality and food safety systems, and regulatory and quality assurance.
To be successful in this position, you will have excellent leadership abilities, interpersonal and communication skills, and business knowledge.
As the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for… Responsible for the supervision of the analytical and sensory laboratories as well as overseeing the facility's food safety program on an ongoing basis.
Management and review of the workflow and quality (alignment with other plants, procedures update, participation to QC meetings, links with other QC lab...) Management of the relationships between Sales, Production, Warehouse.
Enhancement of the team competencies (training suggestion, management of maintenance and troubleshooting, mass specs library update, request for new softwares access...) Activities include, but are not limited to, prioritizing daily assignments, training QC associates, and completing quality control work as needed.

Skills.
Degree in Science or Engineering.
Experience in the following.
Quality Auditing, Quality Control, Quality and Food Safety Systems, Regulatory and Quality Assurance.
Five (5) years’ experience or more in a variety of disciplines including quality and manufacturing.
Industry experience that includes factory management, supply chain management, quality and food safety management.
Experience with HACCP, sanitation, allergen control, GFSI Standars (BRC, NSF, FSSC , AIB Inspection), GMP’s, HACCP, Food Industry regulation.
ISO-; ISO- Development of team members Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
Verbal and written communication skills in English.
Understanding of basic statistical analysis and familiarity with the use of statistics.
Working experience in analytical method development and validation.

Five (5) years’ experience or more in a variety of disciplines including quality and manufacturing.
Industry experience that includes factory management, supply chain management, quality and food safety management.
Experience with HACCP, sanitation, allergen control, Knowledge of GFSI Standars (BRC, NSF, FSSC , AIB Inspection), GMP’s, HACCP, Food Industry regulation.
ISO-; ISO- and other quality programs.
Working knowledge in SAP Bachelor of Science in Science in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 7-10 years of analytical testing experience in a food processing / production environment.
Previous flavor house/food additive experience preferred.
