#WelcomeToCognizant!We have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to work supporting one of our clients as a Project Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with 8 to 12 years since this is SA we can look for a max of 8 years of experience in Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) for a hybrid work model.
The ideal candidate will oversee project lifecycles ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company goals.
Experience in Research and Development is a plus.
This role operates during day shifts and does not require travel.
Responsibilities Lead the planning and implementation of projects ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Oversee project timelines budgets and resource allocation to ensure successful project completion.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status risks and issues.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Utilize Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) tools to track project progress and performance.
Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure timely delivery.
Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication among team members.
Develop and maintain project documentation including project plans status reports and risk logs.
Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Support the continuous improvement of project management processes and methodologies.
Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance their project management skills.
Collaborate with Research and Development teams to integrate innovative solutions into projects.
Monitor project outcomes to ensure they meet business objectives and deliver value to the company.
Qualifications Possess a strong background in Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) with 8 to 12 years of experience.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills.
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
Show proficiency in using PPM tools and software.
Have experience in Research and Development which is a plus.
Display the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to mitigate project risks.
Show a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
Possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
Exhibit the ability to work in a hybrid work model.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Show a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Possess a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges.
