PRINCIPAL PROJECT MANAGER

This role is critical in executing project initiatives, consulting with the business, providing superior customer support, managing change and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
The Project Consultant will serve as a single point of contact for assigned projects and act as a liaison between the business, Human Resources and the project team.
The Project Consultant is responsible for combining HR expertise with project management know-how, leveraging the blended skillset of an HR Business Partner and Project Manager, to consult and manage projects.
NOTE.
This is not a technical project management role.
Responsibilities.
Partners with project sponsors to bring definition to a project; creates project plan outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, resources, and timelines Develops and maintains project plans, determines sequencing of tasks, distributes work among team members (including self, this role will also execute project deliverables) and sets expectations Uses broad knowledge of HR to lead team members to approach the project in a manner that results in a cohesive and integrated solution Facilitates and ensures appropriate rhythm of project related meetings Sets project communication cadence, communicates status updates to key stakeholders and serves as the primary point of contact for project inquiries Establishes partnerships and consults with key business stakeholders and other HR SMEs Creates comprehensive and effective change management strategies to mitigate risk and ensure project success Fosters teamwork and collaboration, and contributes to a positive work environment Provides feedback to project team members as necessary for high performance Ensures that HR team members, inclusive of those outside of the project team, understand the connection of their work to the project Develops contingency plans and removes obstacles that may negatively impact the project Facilitates the resolution of conflicts and resolves or escalates issues that arise during the project Monitors progress of the project, ensures it remains on schedule and that all deliverables are achieved Partners with all areas of HR to integrate project deliverables through the HR function and the business Facilitates project debriefs, identifies success and opportunities for improvements, and applies learnings to future projects Required Qualifications.

in Human Resources or related degree Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience and 5 years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects Outstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization, and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes Excellent consultative skills and ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior organizational leaders Possesses strong strategic orientation, ability to think critically, and evaluate broad impacts of work Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate others Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment Demonstrated successful application of project management tools, processes, and best practices Must be able to develop and present a professional work product to multiple levels of management Must be well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments Experience in effective change management techniques and implementation Possesses broad knowledge covering multiple Human Resources functions Preferred Qualifications.
