• Bachelor degree, preferably Industrial, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or a equivalent related field.
• +5 years of experience in automotive industrial manufacturing processes.
• Fluent English language (comprehension, spoken and written).
• Excellent interpersonal relationships.
• Experience with personnel management (verifiable).
• Strong knowledge and experience implementing and monitoring ISO’s standards (, etc.) and mexican legislation and regulations in the field of safety, health and environment.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
Knowledge / Skills to.
• Lead the planning and execution of EHS processes and procedures as well as coordinate internal and external audits.
• Have effective communication and analytical thinking to resolve issues.
• Monitor and maintain the plant EHS Corrective Action Report (EHS CAR); drive completion of EHS CAR activities within assigned due dates.
• Monitor and maintain plant OSHA/STPS/EPA records or equivalent as per country record keeping.
• Prepare, maintain and report on monthly EHS and energy consumption Key • • Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per requirements.
• Represent the department and participate in all projects and activities related to industrialization, transfer and new program development.
• Coordinate, schedule and/or manage EHS training needs as per the EHS Training • • Calendar and maintain EHS training records.
• Review and authorize all incoming hazardous materials as per the Hazardous • • Materials Authorization Procedure.
Maintain SDS indexes and books.
• Review and authorize all ECPL Hazardous Task-Control (LOTO) specific procedures for plant equipment and machinery as an EHS Specialist.
• Provide EHS review and approval of all plant related CAPEX expenditures.
• Perform and document task and equipment specific hazard and risk assessments as needed and required.
• Coordinate and maintain all plant emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, appropriate employee training, and conduct routine drills.
• Establish, maintain and improve management of EHS personnel and resources • Define and establish with the management team the internal and external issues, the context of the organization, and stakeholders needs and expectations.
• Establish policies and standards, developing plans, programs and strategies for risk prevention and EHS aspects • Make the annual EHS plan in accordance with the requirements (regulatory, legal, corporate and others) • Encourage leadership and employee participation, ensuring roles and responsibilities in conjunction with management • Define and ensure that the EHS management system is established, implemented and maintained in the plants • Develop and implement improvement programs in risk prevention and environmental aspects • Participate in the design of management, human resources, EHS and support strategies as a multidisciplinary team • Plan and ensure performance evaluations in internal, corporate, third-party audits and government inspections • Promote continuous improvement in EHS systems and programs • Monitor First Aid Logs and associated reporting and record keeping • Review corrections and improvement actions resulting from incidents, non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Review generation and consumption reports (energy and waste)annual general review of results and proposals for strategies and improvements • Design and participate in budget planning participate in the design of the strategy to generate and maintain a favorable organizational environment.
Profile.
Professional who plans, develops, directs and ensures compliance, execution and monitoring of the standards and activities of the safety and environmental management systems and of the technical-administrative processes of the department.
He/she also manages the resources in order to guarantee the operation and functioning of the safety, health and environmental management system in each of the plants, ensuring legal, regulatory and corporate compliance created and designed for the prevention of injuries, illnesses and impacts on the environment.
