Who knows where our shared journey will take you?  Siemens Electrification and Automation is seeking an experienced professional in Automation for Power Systems, in the field of substation automation and protection relay engineering to join our growing team of Power Systems Engineers in the Queretaro, Mexico.
You will be working alongside a growing team of engineers to support projects and customers in the Queretaro factory, as well as support on the design and configuration stages of US Based projects for automation and protection.
Role Description • Prepare documentation and programming settings to be implemented on the switchgear devices during a FAT or Internal Programming Request.
• Coordinate with Test Field, and FAT manager, the readiness of the Switchgear in Testing Area, to implement Automation/Programming Activities.
• Support to PA Engineers to perform Automation/Programming Activities on the switchgear.
• Report processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests improvements ideas.
• Prepare Test Set (Omicron, Doble, etc...) routines for various protection applications.
Minimum qualifications:  • Technician degree in electrical engineering and a minimum of 3 years of relevant electrical experience in power systems protection and automation engineering field.
• Basic Knowledge in electrical schematic designs for control and protection of Low, Medium and High Voltage systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens automation and protection products and their associated engineering software.
• Factory testing experience in protection and automation and control systems.
• Basic both verbal and written English communication.
