Orbia business, is hiring for an Employee Relations Specialist, LATAM to be based in Mexico City, Mexico.
Job Summary/ Purpose Orbia’s Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for conducting investigations into concerns of discrimination, harassment, bullying, retaliation and other policy violations in Orbia’s LATAM region.
Reporting to Orbia’s Lead Investigations Counsel, the ideal investigator will have at least 3-5 years of experience conducting employee investigations, including experience investigation planning, interviews and evidence gathering, and investigation documentation and reporting.
The Employee Relations Specialist will play a key role in fostering trust in Orbia’s Ethics Helpline process, ensuring timely and professional investigations of employee concerns, working closely with People teams and management on appropriate case resolution, and maintaining up to date Orbia’s case management database.
Main Responsibilities Conduct thorough and unbiased investigations related to workplace misconduct, including but not limited to, discrimination, harassment, bullying, retaliation, and other policy violations.
Create investigations plans, review documents, collect evidence, and conduct interviews in accordance with Orbia’s Investigations Manual.
Maintain accurate and thorough investigations records, including notes, evidence, findings, and other relevant information.
Prepare thorough investigations reports summarizing investigation findings.
Prepare and present investigation findings to People business partners and management.
Collaborate with People business partners, legal department, management, and other stakeholders as necessary throughout each investigatory phase.
Act as a neutral factfinder through all aspects of investigation to ensure prompt, fair, and objective process for all parties.
Maintain trust in Orbia’s Helpline process by upholding discretion and confidentiality, completing investigations in a timely manner, and providing appropriate follow-up to reporting parties.
Provide periodic and timely updates regarding the status of pending investigations to Lead Investigations Counsel and other stakeholders.
Assist the Lead Investigations Counsel in managing Orbia’s Ethics Helpline process to ensure timely and appropriate responses to all concerns brought to Orbia’s attention.
Assist with maintaining and updating case management database to organize, manage, and track reported concerns.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field 3-5+ years of relevant experience conducting workplace investigations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge/ Experience Required Spanish fluency; both oral and written.
Demonstrated knowledge of investigations processes and best practices.
