At SVAM, we are currently searching for an Oracle Database Administrator to be hired directly by our client.

This is a hybrid position at Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.
Job Description.
Leverage technical acumen to provide superior Engineering and production support for Oracle Database environments.
In addition, will drive and participate in efforts to ensure platform stability to maximize performance of database environments.
Partner with application owners/teams to understand application and business needs and SLO.
Requirements.
BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience 2-5 years working in IT as Oracle Database Administrator Played pivotal roles as Database Administrator and support staff across various database technologies Knowledgeable in database technologies – Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Linux scripting etc.
Database/SQL Monitoring and Performance Tuning Experience with Linux and Windows OS Should have experience of working in Manufacturing Industry (or similar) to understand the data security requirements like ITAR/PCI/PHI/HIPPA/NIST/SOX etc.
Effective leadership, organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills Demonstrated track record of on time delivery within budget; ability to drive projects to successful conclusion using influencing tools Ability to lead international teams across multiple initiatives that span various lines of business, geographic borders, time zones, and cultures Experience with SAP/PeopleSoft is a plus Advanced English (conversational) Good to have Achievement orientation, creative thinking, and enthusiasm Open-minded, strong in communication Very good presentation skills Strong organizational skills Self-motivated, ability to pick up things quickly Responsibilities.
The primary focus will be on production support for database environments working with 24X7 support staff Database administration (Installation, configuration, and management, patching and upgrade of the database environments) Perform Database backup and recovery Perform Database refresh Database/SQL Monitoring and Performance Tuning Using database expertise and leadership experience to identify and drive improvement efforts related to our database portfolio Participate in Change Advisory Board and provide guidance governance on Database changes.
Performing problem resolution for complex issues including root cause analysis, and outlining resolution options Providing off-hours support, when required, for critical production issues.
Automate Infrastructure components leveraging understanding of scripting, coding and automation using one or more of the following.
PowerShell, Microsoft DSC, Chef, Puppet, Ruby, Terraform, OEM or others.
Maintains technical knowledge on current and emerging Multi-Cloud developments, industry trends, assesses the opportunity, and collaborates with stakeholders to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies Work with the third-party support team (on-shore and off-shore) and application support teams to educate and guide them for steady-state supporting database infrastructure related technologies Promotes and self-demonstrates Corning's principles of Performance, Leadership, Innovation, Independence, the Individual, Quality, and Integrity These are the interviews you will have.
