As the MVM, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Softlines categories like Apparel.
The ideal candidate is a passionate customer and category manager, with proven analytical capabilities, attention to detail, ability to effectively prioritize, and lead a team.
The MVM must be an effective negotiator, leader, and communicator working with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams as well as vendors and brands.
he MVM must be a self-starter with a passion for retail, a high level of flexibility, and result-oriented.
This role leads a high-performing team and will be responsible for driving both the top and bottom-line metrics for some of Softlines categories.
The MVM will use a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as inventory management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, operations, and finance to drive the performance of these strategic category and vendor partners.
Key job responsibilities • Setting goals, developing strategy, and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives • Negotiating direct relationships with top apparel brands to expand our product selection • Onboarding new vendors and brands to drive category growth • Partnering cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional customer experience that drives sales and profitability • Leading a high-performing team of vendor managers to achieve ambitious top and bottom-line goals A day in the life - The MVM owns sales growth as well as profitability improvement.
To achieve that, MVM works with internal teams including Finance, Supply Chain, and Marketing to drive the category strategy.
- The MVM audits the inputs such as selection, price, inventory, traffic, customer experience, to find opportunities and lead the Vendor Management and Brand Specialist team to address such opportunities.
- The MVM reports performance of the category through the use of data, and sets the strategic roadmap for growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience - Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams - Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion or inventory management - Experience of managing and developing a high performance team - Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required plus at least 10 years of professional background - Fluent in both, English and Spanish PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - SQL knowledge and experience in e-commerce
