LOGISTICS MANAGER

The purpose of the role is to partner with the business to make sure we offer excellent logistics service to our customers, jobholder will be responsible for the national logistics and distribution network, strategy development and implementation to achieve key supply chain goals in supporting the business to meet customer expectations and achieve optimal results.

What does the role involve? The purpose of the role is to lead a team of Materials Managers in order to achieve company objectives for product availability and inventory levels.
Serves as first tier of escalation for operational topics related to Materials Management and advises on complex issues.
Conducts root cause analysis to resolve problems and ensure continuous improvement.
Responsible for the leadership, development and coaching of Logistics Team Members Responsible for the leadership of the Logistics processes to develop and implement a consistent distribution strategy based on global framework Development and implementation of communications to achieve continual improvement of our logistics and distribution value and position Manages warehouse and transportation costs to set budgets, productivity KPIs Manages service to the customer through meeting / exceeding set service levels Manages Inventory levels and product code life, (FIFO) Manages staff resources according to underlying current & future sales trends / set KPIs Develop, train, monitor and evaluate the workforce through our people management processes  Liaise and negotiate with Suppliers, (use of Corporate Tender & SLA process) Ensures effective communications & teamwork within department and inter department Challenges and develops existing operational & supply concepts Our unique culture and career development opportunities have gained worldwide recognition - we’re proud to be named one of the World's Best Workplaces™ in by Great Place to Work (GPTW) What do we offer? What you need is Bachelor's Degree in logistics, supply chain, operation management, industrial operations or any other related discipline (MBA is an advantage) Gained experience in international companies with focus on logistics and/or supply chain with strong understanding of company business and customers’ needs Excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills with the ability to communication and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and gain their trust in implementing key operational decisions that is beneficial to Hilti and our customers Inspiring person who can cascade the vision and strategy clearly to the team and work with them to move logistics operations to next level Strong project management and capable in managing multi-tasks whilst meeting the objectives and deadline Highly proficient in both written and spoken English as well as LEAN tools Aspiring to develop a long-term career with us and look for the opportunity to excel the exposure at regional or at global level Why should you apply?
