You will build a team and lead these talented engineers, ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to deliver high-quality code.
You will also collaborate with the studio head to develop business leads and contribute to the studio's growth plans.
Responsibilities.
Technical Leadership.
Define and maintain technical standards and best practices.
Collaborate with game designers and producers to ensure technical feasibility.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Project Management.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Identify and mitigate risks.
Should be competent presenting technical information to a range of audiences including non-technical audiences Team Management.
Takes an active role in the hiring process with the business and recruitment team for the creation and development of the Game Dev team.
Leads a team working on significant and critical projects.
Provides both technical and team leadership and mentoring.
Problem-Solving.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Communication.
Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
Present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with the studio head to develop business leads and contribute to the studio's growth plans.
Requirements 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Strong proficiency in C++, C#.
Experience with Unreal 4/5, AWS, Steam/PlayStation/Xbox platforms.
Proven track record of shipping at least 2-3 console titles or 4-5 PC titles.
Responsible for delivering projects on budget, on time, to requirements, and with high quality; Able to analyze and evaluate technical risks within the scope of a project and make judicious recommendations; Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language; Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
