Junior Economist The Role.
We are currently hiring for the position of Economist I in our US Macroeconomic Service.
As an Economist I, you will be an integral part of our 10-person team of top-notch economists responsible for producing a monthly forecast of the US economy.
The main responsibilities for the Economist I role will be maintaining historical databanks that support our structural macroeconomic forecasting model; writing, proofreading, and providing publication support for our analytical commentaries; and assisting the senior staff.
Specific Job Duties.
Maintain historical databanks used in the production of our economic forecasts Write recurring analytical reports on high-frequency macroeconomic indicators Assist senior US Macroeconomic staff in preparing presentations and reports Co-author chapters for our monthly US Macroeconomic forecast Help to manage client requests Required Experience/Skills.
Ability to write clearly and concisely in English Ability to work independently, diligently, and efficiently in a deadline-driven workplace Good econometrics skills are a plus but not essential Strong programming skills Sound knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel Required Education.
