IT Support EngineerPosition Summary.
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to support and troubleshoot a variety of systems and devices.
This role involves providing technical assistance to end-users, maintaining system performance, and ensuring seamless IT operations.
Key Responsibilities.
Provide technical support for Windows operating systems and assist users with Mac and Linux (Ubuntu) environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and effective manner.
Write and maintain scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate processes and improve system efficiency.
Manage and configure network devices, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and support basic network administration tasks.
Use and maintain ticketing systems to track, prioritize, and resolve incidents and service requests.
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and applications.
Document technical procedures and solutions to build a knowledge base for end-users and team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions and address technical challenges.
Qualifications.
Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related role.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems; familiarity with Mac and Linux (Ubuntu) preferred.
Ability to write and debug scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Strong understanding of network concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
Experience with ticketing systems (e.
., Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to read and write in English at a B1 level or higher.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications.
Experience with LDAP and Google Workspace administration.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified.
Modern Desktop Administrator, or Linux Essentials are a plus.
