IT HEAD FOR FX MARKETS MEXICO

The IT Business Unit Sr Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas.
Leads and directs a team of professionals.
Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function.
Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions.
Strong commercial awareness is a necessity.
Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions.
Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Some external communication may be necessary.
Accountable for the end results of an area.
Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning.
Primarily affects a sub-function.
Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.
Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Responsibilities.
Functions in a Chief Of Staff capacity to ensure strategy is implemented appropriately.
Collaborates with IT functional/departmental executives and business leaders to create the business plan for IT.
Scans the external IT environment to provide a common set of planning assumptions.
Works on internal communications.
Manages mergers & acquisitions and outsourcing activities.
Ensures business unit is meeting or exceeding components of service level agreements.
Resolves complex and varied issues with substantial potential impact.
Uses in depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
Applies in depth understanding of how own sub function integrates within technology and has commercial awareness.
Has full management responsibilities for team (includes people, budget and planning).
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations; uses multiple sources of information.
Impacts the area through responsibility for planning, finances/budget, end results, setting policies and contribution to strategic decisions.
Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.

Qualifications.
10+ years of experience in technology planning with commensurate experience in people management.
Budget management, Risk & Control management, influencing skills Education.
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred Technology senior management-level position responsible for managing the FX Markets solutions (SPOT, FWD and FX Options) reports to the Markets and Fiduciary Technology head.
This person will support business strategy assuring compliance Front to Back with internal policies, local and global regulations and the architectural model defined for Markets.
Position is responsible for the FX Markets systems implementation and evolution while also ensuring stability, resilience, and soundness of the platforms.
Responsibilities.
Manage the FX Markets Technology business analysis functional area and executing the strategic plans for function with responsibilities including management of people, budget and planning, performance evaluation.
Develop, define, and implement technology projects to meet FX business strategies and goals and apply a broad and comprehensive understanding across the bank as well as underlying business principles.
Knowhow, understanding and integration of the architecture that supports the business flow considering vendor standard solutions / platforms to support this financial product such as Refinitiv, Bloomberg, ION is important.
Develop new concepts and approaches to solving issues to meet business requirements, incidents, and resiliency improvements for FX solutions under his/her responsibility.
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources.
Work as a team to achieve objectives and influence and negotiate with peers across functions, communicating with external parties and regulators as needed.

Qualifications.
10+ years of experience in technology planning and development for applications for Financial Markets solutions with 5 -8+ years’ experience in people management.
Proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques Demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Proven soft skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines.
Budget management, Risk & Control management, influencing skills.
Demonstrated proactivity, decisiveness, and adaptability.
Consistently able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Education.
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology related careers Master's degree preferred.
