Requirements:
The Inside Sales Representative will be the internal link between the company and assigned clients. This role involves quoting to potential and existing clients; maintaining price levels and margins; entering, tracking, and following up on orders; researching and resolving customer issues; maintaining constant communication regarding inventory, material, customer shipments, and processing times. Building relationships with current and potential clients is paramount.
• Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the metals industry, preferably or associate degree required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Proven work experience as an Inside Sales Representative.
• Practical experience with multiple sales techniques.
• Experience with CRM software (a plus).
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Suites, including Word and Excel.
Description:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and requirements.
• Manage assigned accounts to achieve company objectives related to this position.
• Actively call established, potential, and inactive accounts to grow business.
• Respond to all inquiries and proactively provide information on order status, deliveries, quality, or other inquiries in a timely manner.
• Work with inventory, quality, accounts receivable, and marketing as needed to ensure customer service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Acquire and maintain practical knowledge of all company systems, including ERP, CRM, etc.
• Use CRM to document all customer interactions (i.e., calls, emails, sales activity, tasks, and report preparation).
• Work with customers to resolve any discrepancies.
• Qualify potential leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, websites, and other sources.
• Collect customer feedback on product quality, pricing, competitors, and market trends.
• Share market information and feedback with sales and leadership teams.
• Provide customers with all necessary documents.
• Develop a deep understanding of offered materials, equipment capabilities, processes, and material applications.
• Acquire knowledge of overall market dynamics affecting prices, customers, competition, and supply chain.
• Follow all company processes, procedures, and policies.
• Possible local travel to customers or trade shows.
• Perform any other assigned tasks.
• Documented customer follow-up.
