Research, interpret, document and apply laws and regulations.
Monitor statutes, regulations, legislative activity, court decisions and publications to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations.
Correspond with state and local authorities.
Provide recommendations on complicated taxlegal issues.
Communicate complicated taxlegal issues in an understandable manner to nontax professionals.
Develop and analyze test cases for taxlegal compliance.
Provide guidance to other departments regarding processes and rules.
Maintenance and accuracy of all applicable taxlegal information in database.
Determine best approach to develop data guidelines based on analysis of available information.
May supervise junior staff.
