As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Java, PHP, JavaScript, and React to deliver scalable and high-performance software solutions, optimizing the platform’s content management system (CMS) based on WordPress.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop fullstack applications using Java, PHP, JavaScript, and React to enhance and maintain the resource center.
Customize and integrate WordPress CMS to support content creation and management across 90 locales.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and marketers, to drive innovation and improve the platform’s features.
Implement GraphQL for efficient data retrieval and CSS for UI styling to enhance the user experience.
Ensure best practices in software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure seamless operation of the platform.
Work in an agile development environment, collaborating on sprints and actively participating in standups and retrospectives.
Must-Have Requirements.
6+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend development using Java.
Experience with React for front-end development and dynamic user interfaces.
Hands-on experience with WordPress CMS integration and customization.
Proficiency in GraphQL, CSS, and React for building responsive and efficient web applications.
Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working with Mac OS.
Nice-to-Have Requirements.
Familiarity with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Datadog for monitoring and collaboration.
Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit and React Testing Library.
Experience with AWS services (S3, CloudFront) for building scalable cloud solutions.
Expertise in Terraform for cloud infrastructure management.
Understanding of SEO principles to improve site visibility and search engine rankings.
