AstraZeneca is currently looking for a Full-Stack Developer to join our R&D IT Product Design & Delivery Team.
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer in AZ you'll have a chance to make a positive impact in patients’ lives by using your engineering skills to develop web and responsive solutions for different areas across AZ.
These solutions will contribute indirectly and directly to improve the health of people who uses our medicines.

In this role you will be part of our global development team which is migrating to as close as we can to a true DevOps operating model.
You will be given requirements that you are expected to understand, plan, develop, and thoroughly test before considering the work completed.
Deployments and infrastructure are handled by our team and you will need to be capable of doing deployments and preparing your work for the infrastructure requirements.
As a Technical Leader within the team you are expected to thoroughly understand the Software Development Lifecycle and best practices that should allow you to help your fellow teammates.
We are building a team that is accountable and responsible for the work they deliver.
This means that you will be expected to support your work after it has been released to our customers.
We build it, we own it.
A Software Engineer is expected to have knowledge in developing, managing data, integrating with other systems, and learning new technology that enables the solution.
It is not required that you have skills in all of the following technologies, but you may have to learn depending on the work you are given.
Spring Boot / Java React / TypeScript / JavaScript PostgreSQL Jira / Confluence / Git / GitHub Actions Nice to have.
Elastic Search / Logstash / Kibana Passion for learning, innovating, and delivering valuable software to people.
Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).
Independent and reliable.
Ability to work and collaborate with people across the globe with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Extra points if you have experience with any of the following (the more the better).
AWS Technologies including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Route53, ELB, API Gateway, and others SCSS / CSS3 Activiti / Camunda / Flowable BPM (Keyword) Snowflake / Redshift TDD BDD CI/CD Kubernetes / Docker Education Requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent degree is preferred but not required.
We will hire self-taught engineers without a formal education given that you have evidence of rich history of software engineering.
