This position reports to Service Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to represent ABB as a Home Based, Field Service Engineer in the North of England on customer paper manufacturing facilities.
As part of the Northern Service Team, you will help to provide 24/7 support on site for ABB QCS and DCS equipment.
After initial ABB product training, you will be responsible to deliver the Service Agreement to scope; activities include Preventative and Corrective maintenance on ABB QCS/DCS equipment, configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, adjustment.
Participating in a 1 week in 3 on Call Rota you will work to develop a strong working relationship with customers across production and engineering.
The work model for the role is.
{remote} #LI-remote This role is contributing to the {Process Industries division} in {the UK}.
You will be mainly accountable for.
• Provide High level field and in house technical support, including out of hours support.
• Provide application support and software troubleshooting to customers, on site and by remote • dial in.
• Advise clients as to maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods, • process measurement and control.
• Prepare and write technical reports for internal and external use.
• Promote sales of maintenance services and equipment, including spare parts, and advise Sales • department of possible sales leads.
• Assists Sales and Account management with preparation of quotations.
• Commission equipment in the field as part of the project team.
• Prepare and present reports following site visits and in additional a monthly report for allocated • sites.
Qualifications for the role Degree or HND in Electrical or Measurement & Control Engineering.
Clean Driving Licence (UK).
Self-Motivated and able to work unsupervised.
Demonstrate excellent customer focus.
Good networking skills.
Results orientation.
