ENGINEER MANAGER ELECTRONIC INDUSTRY

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the teams success and professional growth.

Develop and implement engineering strategies to meet project deadlines, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including production, supply chain, and quality assurance to drive continuous improvement and optimize manufacturing processes.

Oversee the design and development of new products, ensuring adherence to specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Coordinate with customers to understand their technical requirements, provide engineering support, and address any concerns or issues.


Drive innovation and technology adoption by staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

I Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions coordinates outside contractors and vendors as it pertains to the engineering and maintenance teams.


Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines within Mexicos legislative requirements and follows up with any violations with appropriate actions to resolve the matter as expediently as possible. Prepares and implements the Engineering and Maintenance departmental budget in collaboration with the General Manager.

Drive and implement best practices and engineering excellence through new product development, technology, and leadership to meet and exceed both new and existing customer expectations in our focused markets

Manage all engineering functions across both process and technical control including SMT, Process, Maintenance, Product and Test Engineering

Drive improvements in manufacturing process through Lean methodologies

Qualifications

Bachelors degree BSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5 years in engineering management, preferably in the electronics manufacturing or EMS industry, with experience in high mixlowmid volume production of PCBAs and Box Build Products.

Strong technical background with expertise in electronic product design, manufacturing processes, maintenance and quality management systems.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.

Experience with assembly process evaluation, control, and validation, PFMEA, SPC, and first article process controls, Design of Experiments DOE, Design for Manufacturability DFM.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Process Management Software Program Applications, Computer Aided Design CAD or similar programs is highly desirable.

Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements ex., ISO 9001, IPC standards, etc.

Experience with new product introduction NPIs processes and change management development, industrialization, or similar.


Strong analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, other continuous improvement tools is a plus.

Fluent in Spanish and English languages, both written and verbal is a mandatory requirement for consideration of this opportunity.


The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in the Electronic Contract Manufacturing model, PCBA and box build manufacturing and must to posses experience transferring products and processes, equipment installation, validation and starting up a manufacturing facility from scratch Process.

Must be knowledgeable and experienced in equipment and facilities maintenance.

Needs to have valid VISA and Passport and be willing to travel to Toronto Canada for training and product process transferring to Mexico.
