We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Global Talent Development to join our team.
Reporting to the VP of Talent Management, this role is responsible for shaping and executing strategies to enhance leadership capabilities and foster a culture of continuous improvement within our manufacturing organization.
The successful candidate will be a visionary leader who can design and implement comprehensive performance development programs while driving organizational change initiatives.
As the Director of Global Talent Development, you will lead, implement, and measure the effectiveness of a comprehensive talent development strategy you and your team will build from scratch.
Focused on designing programs that meets Leggett and Platt where they are includes.
individual and career development learning journeys, employee engagement, performance and succession management, talent reviews and high potential development.
This position will work collaboratively with HR Business Partners to assess individual and team performance needs to create dynamic and inclusive talent solutions that drive growth and have true business impact.
What you will be doing.
Key Responsibilities Talent and Succession Planning.
Implement succession planning tools and methodologies to identify high-potential employees.
Twice annually.
In partnership with our HRBPs, manage a robust talent planning process throughout the organization, including our C-suite.
Ensure a diverse and inclusive approach that supports our talent goals.
Learning and Development.
Deliver a L&D Roadmap that will enable employees to build capabilities and continuous development opportunities Oversee Leadership Development offerings including identification of external vendors, modalities, and audiences Embed Inclusion, Diversity and Equity in to learning and development programs Partner with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to support and govern BU/function specific experiences and programs to achieve learning objectives Deliver coaching/mentoring/sponsorship programs and deploy as identified by broader business and talent strategy and current needs of the business Performance Management.
Fully execute our performance management process and cycle across the organization.
Provide tools and materials that support leader’s ability to set strong performance goals align in support with overall business goals.
Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Employee Engagement and Culture.
Lead our annual LP VOICE employee engagement process to further create and sustain a positive and inclusive company culture.
Develop and execute engagement strategies, initiatives and programs that create a great place to work.
Analyze the data, monitor associate feedback and work with our leaders to implement strategies to address concerns.
Management & Leadership.
Lead a team of talent managers to be trusted advisors at every level in the organization.
Deliver ROI on talent development strategies and ensure continuous improvement   Metrics and Evaluation.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of talent development programs.
Regularly assess program outcomes and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired results.
We’re looking for someone with.
10+ years of experience working within various HR talent development functions, including at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
Prior leadership experience in Talent Development, Leadership Development or Executive Development with a deep understanding of the approaches used to design and deliver effective enterprise-wide solutions in a complex environment.
Strength in building trusted relationships, collaborating across teams, and influencing partners – peers, senior leaders, and direct reports.
Ability and experience setting a talent development strategy, executing, and measuring results through analytics.
Experience integrating inclusion, diversity and equity, leadership principles and other talent and learning initiatives throughout the talent development process.
Prior experience implementing a learning management system and creating a learning platform to support a culture of continuous learning.
