in partnership with regional and functional leadership, the director will help deliver quality systems and best in class processes at local plant operations.
essential functions.
-overall responsibility of quality activities across navico group.
-create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
-refine and standardize the quality management systems to deliver quality excellence across the value chain to both internal and external customers, including suppliers.
-lead and manage the global quality teams from new product start of production validation phase through warranty to ensure a proactive quality culture.
-outline product compliance standards to satisfy all regulatory agencies or voluntary standard organizations to keep pace with industry’s best practices.
-improve quality and reliability standards by studying industry benchmarks and the requirements of customers.
-drive the successful implementation or roll-out of quality and problem-solving toolkits, templates, and metrics.
-handle coordination of quality related activities including supplier quality, vendor approvals for safety critical parts, manufacturing quality, in-process verification, and testing; oversees the audit function, configuration management system, calibration system.
provide leadership & guidance and serve as an escalation point to the ppc and regulatory compliance lead who is responsible for chairing the navico group ppc committee; the ppc is a cross functional team that addresses navico group product safety and integrity issues.
