About you.
We are looking for a communications professional to join our Internal Communications team in Jalisco.
This role will be a communications partner for different business functions, primarily supporting the tequila Supply Chain & Procurement Operations.
The candidate will work closely with the Head of Corporate Communications in Mexico to develop and implement communications plans in line with Diageo brand, our business goals and manage internal communications channels, while securing a solid editorial calendar and build engagement through inspiration and knowledge of Diageo and its brands.
Purpose of Role.
We’re looking for a candidate with experience in the beverage and/or food sector, based in Jalisco and with a strong passion on sharing stories, managing effectively projects and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Creativity and speed in action is also needed to address different challenges and complex communications issues.
This position would be great for someone who is used to working online and offline, a person who has passion for storytelling and writing, and possess the ability to build strong people connections.
Top accountabilities.
Responsible for outlining and successfully develop and implement internal communications strategy and acting as an advisor for the different business areas as Operations, Agriculture, Expansion, Logistics, Human Resources and ESG plan.
Think creatively for introducing new channels to communicate in a compelling, persuasive, and impactful way; draws on a variety of influencing styles to engage different audiences.
Qualifications & Experience Required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, marketing, media, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years working in corporate, consumer or internal communications within a multi-national company or agency.
Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Capable of developing communications in Spanish and English.
Design and production of audiovisual materials is a plus.
Experience building effective communications programs and delivering results Excellent writing and verbal communications skills, with the ability to formulate a clear point of view on complex issues Attention to detail and ability to lead multiple, challenging priorities Agency and vendor management.
Strategic approach to anticipate potential reputational issues.
Flexibility to travel to different sites of operation.
Communication exists 24/7, so be ready to get work done, even when at times it’s outside the scope or workhours of the job.
