Your role and responsibilities The Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing engaging, strategically aligned content that resonates with internal and external audiences, spanning business, technology, and HR topics.
This role requires a skilled writer who can manage the entire content lifecycle—from concept to publication—to position the ABB brand and enhance our presence in the global market.
Although the role is ideally based in Switzerland, we are open to applications from UK and EU countries.

• Storytelling.
Plan, source, create, and manage high-quality content (e.
., business, technology, and HR web stories, social media posts) for internal and external channels aligned with ABB’s messaging, visual guidelines and strategic goals.
• SEO Compliance.
Develop SEO-optimized content to increase visibility and engagement with external stakeholders.
• Research.
Conduct research to identify global industry trends, customer needs, competitive insights and ABB technologies and solutions that support relevant story development.
• Stakeholder Collaboration.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across ABB’s group functions, business areas and external creative agencies to ensure cohesive brand representation across all platforms.
• Visual Assets Management.
Plan and coordinate with the studio/creative agencies to update visual assets, including videos and animations, enhancing the impact of web stories and other content.
• Content Calendar.
Update the editorial content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant content across all channels.
• Create engaging social media posts to promote business, technology, and HR stories and coordinate visual assets in collaboration with the studio/creative agency.
Qualifications for the role University education in Communications or related discipline Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Corporate Communications, ideally within a global organization in similar role Writing.
Strong command of written English (native level); skilled at developing web content (storytelling) and translating complex information into engaging, accessible content Project Management.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver on time.
Digital Savvy.
Experience with SEO principles and content management across digital platforms Tools.
Proficient in MS Office Suite and SharePoint; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and BrightEdge is a plus Team-Oriented.
