CEN) COST CONTROL ENGINEER - TEMPORARY POSITION

Job Description Organize, coordinate, and control the cost control of large projects in CEMEX, develop and apply cost control tools in order to accomplish project goal.
Ensure the implementation of strategies to plan and accomplish the objective cost for projects.
Coordinates interaction between project team and contractors, define and establish commitments to complete project according with budget authorized.
Advice the project staff by facilitating project communication activities (time project reports, meetings, performance reporting and team building workshops).
Position Location (Based in).
Mérida, Yucatán Main Responsibilities Create and maintain the Project Cost Estimation and Project Budgeting Control tools.
Ensure and develop the governance for the budget estimation and budgeting control processes.
Provide support to GOT&EVP to apply the governance with the regions during the project execution.
Provide support to manage the projects of the GOT&EVP.
Provide training support to the members of the project management teams (Regional teams, GOT&EVP and external employees).
Position Challenges Create and maintain the Project Cost Estimation and Project Budgeting Control tools.
Coordinate and obtain the elaboration of the cost estimation.
Coordinate and define the cost forecast process.
Apply the technological standard tools of CEMEX.
Clearly define the necessities and requirements to the accomplishment of the objectives.
Establish clear communication channels with the work team.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree.
Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineer, Engineering Knowledge of PC Programs.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP.
Language Skills.
100% English.
0-5 years in Manufacturing, materials, cement, project administration.
Technical knowledge.
General knowledge of engineering, equipment and construction procedures.
General knowledge of project management.
Strategic and Analytical Thinking Structured & analytical, being capable of detecting relevant facts for integral problem solving.
Communication of ideas effectively in both oral and written form.
Ability to work effectively with others to accomplish common goals.
Interpersonal skills Leadership, team player, moderator, advising, charismatic, ethical, self-driven.
