Software Engineer II Role.
Report to the Sr.
Engineering Manager and work with Product Management and Architecture teams to execute McDonald's Digital Technologies vision.
Engage in all stages of the agile development life cycle.
design, development, documentation, testing, and operations.
Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions to improve service performance, adaptability, cost, and security.
Apply best practices in software engineering to ensure high-quality standards.
Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Work in an agile, startup-like environment focusing on critical priorities.
Requirements.
Professional experience in software development.
Extensive programming experience with Kotlin, Java, and Android platform technologies and APIs.
Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Solution-oriented with the ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
Demonstrated leadership in driving operational excellence and best practices.
Attention to detail and a passion for improving customer experience.
Ability to manage projects from requirements to delivery.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
