We are looking for a Test Engineer responsible for new products and applications.
This includes defining product test plans and following up on test results.
Responsibilities Able to use typical engineering testing tools, including NI Lab-View, Visual basis, C++, and PLC programming techniques to perform DT, DV, and PV testing Builds/designs, tests, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electro-mechanical test-lab equipment such as test-system relays (timers and electrical), electro-pneumatic solenoids/valves, etc.
Ability to write (ATE) automatic test equipment programs in Visual Basic, C++, NI-LabView, and/or PLC (Siemens, Datalogic, Allen Bradley, etc.) Lead technicians in test methods and use of equipment to complete product validation testing Produce written work instruction, disseminate resulting data, and write clear, concise reports.
DFMEAs or 8D problem-solving Design test rigs if needed to support new programs Coordinates with outside test laboratories if required Execute all other reasonable duties as requested by the Engineering Test-Lab Manager Requirements BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Electro-mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university with two (2) or more years of hands-on experience in the related engineering field Background in Automotive Engineering a plus Electro-mechanical and control systems engineering experience Experience with data acquisition, use of sensors, signal conditioning, AutoCAD A solid working knowledge of NI Labview or Visual basics will be considered a plus Knowledge of a lab test environment is essential, with Solid working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, test equipment, and test setups Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
