Your Day-to-Day We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in supporting a Video on Demand (VoD) system.
As an SME, you will be the primary point of contact for advanced troubleshooting, technical guidance, and system optimization, ensuring a seamless experience for our stakeholders and engineers.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues, provide training, and drive continuous improvements to the VoD platform.

Must-have Skills To be successful in this role, you need.
5+ years of experience in supporting and maintaining Video on Demand systems or related streaming technologies.
Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert or in a similar role within a VoD or OTT (Over-The-Top) environment.
Strong understanding of VoD workflows, including content ingestion, encoding/transcoding and CDN (Content Delivery Networks).
Familiarity with streaming protocols (e.
., HLS, DASH), video codecs (e.
., H.
, HEVC), and media containers (e.
., MP4, MKV).
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.
., Splunk, Grafana, Datadog) is a plus.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.
., Python, Bash) as well as Golang is a plus.
Infrastructure experience supporting systems running on-prem and on AWS.
Nice-to-have Skills Some nice-to-have qualities that will further help you are.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
