STAFF ENGINEER, LEAN MANUFACTURING LEAD

Staff Engineer, Lean Manufacturing Operations

This role is within Chamberlain Groups Nogales Manufacturing Operations group. A successful incumbent is expected to Lead continuous improvement activities and develop local coaches and training identify the stakeholders and objectives for Kaizen andor valuestream map VSM events, and Analyze data required to understand problem root causes, or key drivers of required results. Requires 7 years of experience as a Manufacturing or Lean Engineer and a minimum of a bachelors degree, Lean Manufacturing Certification, Green Belt Certification.
Lead continuous improvement activities and develop local coaches and training identify the stakeholders and objectives for Kaizen andor valuestream map VSM events.
Oversee continuous improvement and OPEX Operational Excellence initiatives and activities for the Nogales manufacturing operations
Act as lean coordinator for the manufacturing operations.
Lead productivity efforts to meet company goals.
Analyze data required to understand problem root causes, or key drivers of required results
Mentor other engineers on Lean Manufacturing tools. Provide process improvement training to applicable areas and lead the implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies. Provide guidelines and standards for the design of the manufacturing floor and facilitate implementation
Support the determination of critical business metrics and build dashboards, scorecards, and other measurement systems and KPIs ensure MDI process standardization
Identify and drive improvement opportunities based on data, customer feedback and stakeholder inputs, while ensuring crossfunctional alignment and stakeholder buyin. Identify opportunities for waste reduction, establish and rollout plans in partnership with leadership of relevant teams
Create standardized processes and ensure implementation of standardized operating systems
Lead the process for proper selection of high value projects based on strategic fit, RONA, Revenue Growth, etc. manage the project queue.
Facilitate Lean events to support the strategic vision with emphasis on education, motivation, change and measurable results lead andor support Kaizen and value stream mapping events, six sigma projects, product quality, and productivity improvements
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering
Lean Manufacturing Certification
Black Belt Certification

Experience
7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Sr. Engineer or Lean Mfg. Sr. Engineer
