About the role: We are looking for a Scala Developer with strong analytical skills and logical thought processes with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues/problems. Ideal candidate is hands-on, proven ability to function well in a team environment and must be proactive, self-directed, self-motivated, detailed, quick learner, and organized. About you: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field, and 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience. Ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments with deep dive analytical skills. Proficient with Java, Scala and JVM. Proficiency with relational data stores. Passion for building resilient backend platforms. Eager to learn, while exhibiting a positive attitude Also, a nice to have is: Experience in Kafka and Akka Understanding of cryptography, security, and data privacy Experience building distributed highly scalable hosted (SaaS) solutions Experience developing for Continuous Deployment on AWS, GCP or similar Development environment: git, Collaborator, SBT, Docker, IntelliJ, Artifactory, Jenkins Knowledge of Apple’s APNS, Google’s FCM and Twilio.
