Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.
his segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose Meet customer’s expectations of on time delivery.
On a daily basis, assures customer orders are acknowledged utilizing available resources and materials management techniques Maintain raw material flow from vendor/supplier by establishing partnerships.
Interfaces between production and customer service representatives Support department and organization growth by analyzing constraints and suggesting projects to implement solutions, as well as meeting the department objectives on more complex product families Key Responsibilities Meets discrete goals within established criteria (time, cost, quality), and makes resource allocation decisions Provides feedback and coaching to others Develops and delivers training as required Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information/ materials Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects to internal and/or external customers Experiences/Education - Required Bachelors Degree in related field Considerable job content knowledge Corning Puts YOU First!   We are committed to supporting your health, financial, career development, and life goals as you grow professionally and personally to achieve your highest potential.
