Acts as a team leader and strong motivator of self and others, providing instruction and guidance to buyers to drive and deliver results.
Develops strategic sourcing plans and manages sourcing activities for commodities.
Performs comparative analysis of competing suppliers in order to recommend the most competitive source for a specified commodity.
Job Functions Ensure, in coordination with key stakeholders, Customs and Trade, PMO, PPM, etc, the timely receipt of Certificates of Origin (COO) for USMCA and other FTAs during each stage of new project development.
Organize with Customs and Trade the receipt of annual Certificates of Origin (COO) for projects in production.
Compare and challenge, when necessary, COO's from suppliers, always in coordination with C&T, PPM and Lineside when required.
Establish and maintain KPI performance indicators appropriate to the function Develop and/or update processes that standardize activities and ensure strict implementation of the same Promote courses and trainings to extend the knowledge of the relevance of USMCA within and outside the procurement function.
Act as a point of contact for other Purchasing functions (PPM, Lineside) to resolve USMCA related questions.
Education.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Foreign Trade or a related field or equivalent experiences.
Previous work experience.
Minimum five years of related experience at a professional level related to automotive industry or supplier level.
(Production parts) One to two years successfully leading and/or mentoring peers through the demonstration of strategic thinking, effective collaboration, and achievement orientation.
Required knowledge.
Expert in strategic sourcing and cost reduction, including budget analysis, quote analysis, quote formation, benchmarking, cost forecasting, and negotiation.
Basic knowledge in vendor tooling.
Technical drawing interpretation.
Database management and analysis skills in order to identify actions to be taken Knowledge of new project development processes (V3P, VLAP, NPQP, etc).
Solid understanding of commercial and legal regulations in the automotive sector.
Knowledge and experience in foreign trade is desirable.
Complete understanding of Nissan internal systems GTOP/CFP/DCW/SAP.
Language.
