About the role What you need to know The primary purpose of the job is to manage various reinsurance activities through the live cycle of the reinsurance treaty and Fac contracts.
Co-insurance and reinsurance payments, claim recovery collections are the key activities of the role with the delivery of various reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Your contribution at AIG The employee will handle various reinsurance activities.
Internal and external reinsurance recoveries collections.
Co-insurance payments.
Perform User tests for systems enhancements impacting reinsurance.
Prepare and deliver various reports to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Participate in the treaty renewal process, contributing to the development and execution of reinsurance strategies.
Support the underwriting team and facilitate growth opportunities by providing critical reinsurance insights and analysis.
Deliver various reporting such as Regulatory reinsurance reports, Reinsurance Recovery ageing reports, Engage in monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities 1.
Functional Responsibilities.
Managing key activities such as Internal and external reinsurance recoveries collections, co-insurance payments, Prepare internal & external audit and other reinsurance materials required.
Ensuring monthly & quarterly close activities and be an active back up for the activities performed by other team members.
Participate in user testing for system enhancements impacting reinsurance processes.
Preparing key reinsurance reports such as Regulatory reinsurance report, Recovery ageing.

Effective communication, and management of key reinsurance reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Develop expertise as a reinsurance technical specialist, providing guidance and support to the broader team.

Leadership Skills Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Time management – ability to manage & prioritize workload and daily management Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment and with internal/external stakeholders at all levels 4.
Technical Skills and Expertise Possess in-depth knowledge of reinsurance accounting principles and practices.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Exhibit strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
What we’re looking for.
Experience.
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 3 to 5 years of reinsurance accounting knowledge Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
Experience in people management is advantageous but not required.
Demonstrated ability to think critically, manage time effectively, and proactively address challenges.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our reinsurance operations, directly contributing to the organization's success and the well-being of our clients.
